Description
Gezinti's piece was written in 2017. The song "Hai, mari Tudorka" from the collection of Gagauz songs is taken as a basis. The musical form of the Gezinti work can be interpreted as a complex three-part. The theme "Hai, mari Tudorka" is presented in its original form in the first four bars. All subsequent content is associated with the transformation of the main theme, through melodic, rhythmic and metric processing. The brightest intonation element, increased by the seconds, passes through the prism of the entire content of the work, and the sudden change in the size of 5/4, 3/4 and 4/4 contributes to the lack of squareness, which is characteristic of folklore as a whole, which gradually leads to such characteristic Gagauz sizes as 7/8, 10/16 (3 + 2), 9/16 (3 + 2 + 2 + 2). At the same time, the tempo is defined as a quarter equal to 80, which, to simplify performance, can be interpreted as two eighths, where the first sounds a little longer than the next. This interpretation is also a reflection of the free rhythm in folklore.
